Campaign finance reports reveal allies in Peoria Unified race

With the stage now set for the Peoria Unified governing board election, campaign finance reports have revealed a couple candidates with prominent allies.

Candidates Jeffrey Tobey, Mikah Dyer and Janelle Bowles have raised the most money by far in this race — Dyer with $16,845, Tobey with $15,238 and Bowles with $8,130.

Reports show that Peoria Mayor Jason Beck and his wife, Jane, have donated $6,500 each to Tobey’s campaign, amounting to 85% of his receipts.
