Campaign finance complaint against Axon filed with Scottsdale City Clerk

The group trying to block security technology company Axon from building 1,895 apartments as part of its proposed world headquarters near the intersection of North Hayden Road and the Loop 101 has filed a campaign finance complaint against the company.

The Taxpayers Against Awful Zoning Exemptions political action committee filed the complaint with Scottsdale City Clerk Ben Lane’s office Jan. 17.
The complaint states the company did not file a campaign finance report despite hiring people to go out to polling places where the PAC’s people were trying to get enough signatures to put a rezone of the land earmarked for the apartments to a referendum. The company also produced literature urging people not to sign the petition.
