Here’s why Dodgers’ Valley run will be truncated

Camelback Ranch-Glendale on Tuesday released its 2024 Cactus League schedule, which includes a truncated Dodgers’ spring training run.

The 16-year spring home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox opens the 2024 season with the Dodgers in Glendale hosting the San Diego Padres on Friday, Feb. 24. The White Sox make their first spring appearance the next day when the Seattle Mariners visit.

The 2024 slate includes 15 White Sox games and 12 Dodgers contests.

The Dodgers’ home schedule ends early because the club opens the 2024 MLB regular season in Seoul, South Korea, with a two-game series against the Padres on March 20 and 21. Dodgers fans do the opportunity to watch L.A. at The Ranch on back-to-back weekends — March 1-3 (Cleveland Guardians, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies) and March 8-10 (Cincinnati Reds, Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks).

There will be spring training baseball at Camelback Ranch-Glendale daily with only three exceptions — open dates on Sunday, March 17; Tuesday, March 19; and Thursday, March 21.

White Sox fans also can enjoy a three-game weekend March 14-16 when the South Siders tackle the Los Angeles Angels, crosstown rival Cubs, and San Francisco Giants, respectively.

The Dodgers and White Sox face each other on Tuesday, Feb. 27 and Wednesday, March 6.

The hometown Diamondbacks make their first Glendale appearance on Monday, March 4 against the White Sox.

Game times and ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks. Visit CamelbackRanchBaseball.com.

The Ranch, located at 10710 W. Camelback Road, became the largest spring training stadium to ever open on either coast back when it debuted on March 1, 2009.
