Camelback Ranch-Glendale on Wednesday announced its spring schedule, and in addition to spring training it will include hosting a World Baseball Classic team.

“The Ranch,” located at 10710 W. Camelback Road, will open its 15th year as the spring training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. The 30-game 2023 schedule begins when the Sox host the San Diego Padres on Saturday, Feb. 25 for a 1:05 p.m. first pitch.

The Dodgers debut the following day when they welcome the Chicago Cubs on Sunday, Feb. 26, in the first of three CR-G appearances by Chicago’s North Siders. That game will also start at 1:05 p.m.

Spring training games at Camelback Ranch will run through Sunday, March 26. Opening Day in Major League Baseball in 2023 will be Thursday, March 30, with all 30 teams in action.

Next spring also will mark the return of the international tournament, the World Baseball Classic. Played every four years, the most recent installment of the Classic took place in 2017, but the 2021 edition was postponed due to COVID. Qualifying rounds for the 2023 version begin in September.

The 2023 Classic will take place March 8-21. Prior to Pool C play at Chase Field in Phoenix March 11-15, the White Sox will host one of the Pool C clubs comprised of the national teams of Canada, Colombia, Mexico, the United States or a to-be-determined qualifier on Thursday, March 9 at The Ranch.

Start times for spring training games are 1:05 p.m. with four exceptions. First pitch for three night games — Wednesday, March 8 (Mariners vs. Dodgers); Wednesday, March 15 (Rockies vs. Dodgers); and Thursday, March 16 (Rangers vs. Dodgers) — will be 6:05 p.m.

Also, the Saturday, March 25 Dodger finale against the Kansas City Royals will start at 12:05 p.m.

All times are subject to change.

The Dodgers and White Sox will face each other twice — Sunday, March 5 and Saturday, March 18.

The hometown Arizona Diamondbacks travel across the Valley twice to play at Camelback Ranch-Glendale. On Thursday, March 2, they challenge the Dodgers and return on Monday, March 20 to test the White Sox. The Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians, Los Angeles Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers also will visit The Ranch.
