Californians and Texans topped the list of residents who made a new home in the Grand Canyon State in 2025, at least according to U-Haul data that shows migration trends.
The anecdotal data that uses where rental trucks are first leased and then turned in shows residents from eight western states chose Phoenix as their new home base, the data stated.
Colorado came in at No. 3 followed by Nevada, Washington, Utah, New Mexico and Oregon. Illinois and Florida rounded out the top 10 of the July 16 report.
