Caldwell County BBQ turns brisket trimmings into cosmetics brand 

The idea of a barbecue joint becoming a cosmetics maker might sound like the setup to a joke, but at Caldwell County BBQ, the unexpected has a way of becoming reality.  

What began as a search for sustainable uses for leftover brisket trimmings has turned into a small-batch skincare line now sold alongside smoked meats, tacos and sides in Gilbert. 

The shift started with the restaurant’s brisket operation. Co-owner Travis Taylor explained how the restaurant’s commitment to high-grade beef created both the opportunity — and the waste stream — that eventually grew into Caldwell Cosmetics.
