Cactus seniors leave legacy on Glendale campus

Banner Health, Arizona Game & Fish help students renovate pond

Cactus High School student body officers wanted to leave a legacy by renovating a pond at the atrium on the Glendale campus.

The student council’s available budget was not matching its dreams, as the senior class discussed the idea in August or September.

“We wanted to do something to renovate this drain area, so we started brainstorming what we could do to make this area better. That’s kind of the first iteration of this,” student body president Bryson Stewart said March 28. “Before we had a pond with some fish. We had turtles in there. We still have bunnies.”
