First locally-owned running store in the West Valley celebrates 10 years

Medically speaking, running shoes are for way more than runners.

When wife and husband Rebecca and Nathan Hohenstein opened Tortoise & Hare Sports, in Glendale, they had more experience than just running, although they did that, too. She worked previously in dermatology and podiatry, with an emphasis in dermatopathology, and he was a certified pedorthist. The two even met in a running store in Michigan.

In other words, they knew feet.
