Advanced Chemical Transport Inc. is to be paid $80,000 to hold two upcoming household hazardous waste events for Apache Junction and adjacent unincorporated Pinal County residents.
The Apache Junction City Council recently voted unanimously to approve an agreement with the business for events in November 2021 and March 2022.
“Pinal County has agreed to contribute a maximum of $10,000 per event to allow the county residents to partake in our event,” Heather Hodgman, the city’s administrative services manager said to the council Sept. 7. “And so you have everything east of Meridian, Pinal County just outside of our borders as well as the Gold Canyon area.”
