Buckeye is working to improve public transportation services with the launch of the Buckeye Transit Study.
With the city’s continued growth, the study is evaluating the need for new or improved transit service in the community. In addition to traditional bus service, the study will evaluate emerging alternatives such as micro transit, on-demand rideshare programs, subsidized ride hailing (such as taxis, Uber or Lyft) and other flexible transit services, according to a city press release.
The study will include a review of existing conditions, a best practices report, a market analysis, route and service recommendations, and public and stakeholder outreach throughout the project.
Residents are invited to take part in a survey to provide input about the future of transit in the community.
Visit buckeyeaz.gov/transitstudy to take the online survey.
