Buckeye council approves $310K contract for new city manager 

The Buckeye City Council selected Doug Sandstrom as the next city manager and agreed  to pay him $310,000 annually.

Sandstrom had been a deputy city manager for Buckeye since January 2024 and has more than 30 years of municipal government experience. 

“Doug Sandstrom is the logical choice to continue leading Buckeye into the future,” Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn said.

Buckeye council approves $310K contract for new city manager

The Buckeye City Council selected Doug Sandstrom as the next city manager and agreed  to pay him $310,000 annually.

Sandstrom had been a deputy city manager for Buckeye since January 2024 and has more than 30 years of municipal government experience. 

“Doug Sandstrom is the logical choice to continue leading Buckeye into the future,” Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn said.

“He can transition seamlessly into this role and continue focusing on the city’s strategic plan, goals, vision, mission and values.”

His contract was approved at the Aug. 26 council meeting, and his employment began immediately, according to a city release.
