The Buckeye Air Fair returns for a weekend of high-flying fun this month.

This year’s event features three-hour airshows the weekend of Friday, Feb. 16 through Sunday, Feb. 18 at Buckeye Municipal Airport, 3000 S. Palo Verde Road.

Eight of the best aerial acts in the country will put on two airshows.

The first goes from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 as Buckeye's first night airshow, which adds fireworks to an already spectacular show. The second goes from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18.

The Buckeye Air Fair Aviation Academy has options for school kids, too. Field Trip Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, allows fifth through eighth grade students to explore aviation careers through hands on activities, booths and guest speakers.

SciTech Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Feb. 17, will have students exploring aviation focused STEAM with engaging booths and activities. And from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 18, Flight School Sunday will see students learning the basics about flying from pilots and aviation experts and practicing on flight simulators.

A VIP Experience includes great seats, all-day refreshments, entertainment, private restrooms and VIP parking. Passes are $80 per person for one day and $105 for a two-day pass.

The Kids Zone includes a full day of access to carnival rides, slides, bounce houses and more. Tickets are $15 per person, per day through Thursday, Feb. 15. At the event, wristbands will be $20 per person, per day.

Gates open at 9 a.m. each day. Admission is free. Parking passes are $10 if purchased online, by Thursday, Feb. 15. Parking is $15 the day of the event, credit cards only.
