The devotion Buc-ee's fans have for the Texas-based mega-center definitely runs deep.

All of it was front and center Monday morning when the chain opened its first Arizona location — a 74,000-square-foot shop with 120 gas pumps and an extensive fresh food hall specializing in Texas-style barbecue — all covering 22 acres in Goodyear.

With some streets around the area at Interstate 10 and Bullard Avenue closed for the crowds, some fans parked and walked a mile to get there.
