The Arizona MG Club, in partnership with the city of Peoria’s Arts and Culture Department, will host the 6th presentation of the British Wheels on the Green charity car show starting 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 at Peoria Centennial Plaza Park, 9875 N. 85th Ave.

Admission is free.

Enjoy the elegance of classic and special interest British cars as well as vintage cycles displayed “On the Green.” A portion of the proceeds from this year’s show will benefit Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, which provides emotional, social, physical and educational needs for children separated from their parents.

“We are excited to see a growing interest in our show,” Club President Steve Strublic. “Last year we welcomed more than 140 entrants, 19 supporting sponsors and vendors with new and exciting vintage cars and cycles joining the show each year. Our club is proud to support the work that Sunshine Acres Children’s Home is doing for children across the Valley. We feel blessed to use this show to grow both awareness of the joy of British car ownership and to support the work of important charities here in our state.”

The display will feature recognized British marques including Austin Healey, Austin Mini, Delorean, Jaguar, Jensen Healey, Lotus, MG, Rolls Royce, Royal Enfield, Singer, Sunbeam, and Triumph. Valley British car club representatives will be on-hand to promote their respective marques and club offerings.

The awards ceremony is at 1 p.m. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Leashed pets permitted.

The nonprofit club has promoted the preservation, enjoyment, use and ownership of the MG marque and its variants via drives, technical sessions and social events statewide since its founding in 1989.
