It’s funny that when the Affordable Care Act was passed a decade ago, almost everyone was against it.
But now after 10 years, the program has become more popular and it’s practically unthinkable to repeal it.
I think even Democrats realized that, which is why a government-run public option never gained serious momentum in 2021.
With the ACA seemingly in place, now is the time to improve it. One [improvement] is to help the millions of low-income Americans who still need health coverage. The Build Back Better plan provides funding for that and I hope that our Sens. Sinema and Kelly will fight to keep improving our current system.
