Years before The Boyer Cafe, which recently opened in Sun City, Liz Boyer would pass that location near Boswell Boulevard and Bell Road and think what a great place for their cafe.
“For over a decade, Liz Boyer (Mama Boyer) frequently eyed this nostalgic, wooden-trimmed, window-lined location, thinking it would make an ideal spot for a cafe,” as stated on their website written by daughter and co-owner Abby Boyer.
The site long ago was home to a bookstore. More recently, it had been home to a Starbucks. But the Seattle-based chain had bigger plans in Sun City with the renovation of a former bank into a new location on the northwest corner of Bell Road and Del Webb Boulevard.
