Bond committee to study Dysart district needs

Recommendations will be made to DUSD governing board

Dysart Unified School District officials reached out to parents, community members and staff to serve on a bond and override committee to evaluate the district’s potential needs and take those recommendations to the governing board.

Interested applicants had to send in applications at the beginning of October with selections made Oct. 16. Part of the requirements include attendance at seven meetings. Part of the commitment from Dysart School officials is to ensure there is representation from all areas of the district on the committee, including individuals affiliated with each school, as well as community members without a school or district connection.

DUSD Director of Communications Renee Ryon said there were 130 applications turned in. Applications will be selected based on the group each selected on the questionnaire. Assistant Superintendent for Support Services Craig Mussi will oversee the committee.
