Bomb scare at Sun City bank

No explosive found

Less than one week since it was robbed, there was another incident at the Bank of America, 10743 W. Grand Ave., Sun City.

At about 8:34 a.m. May 10, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the bank for a report of a suspicious package. Sun City residents also got word of the incident through a post on the Sun City AZ ChitChat Facebook page. The poster, misidentifying the location, said there were many police cars and crime scene tape.

MCSO deputies were told by dispatch that the bank manager found an object with cables hanging from the front door. It was believed by the manager the package contained explosives.
