GIVING TUESDAY
Tuesday, Nov. 28
Special to Independent Newsmedia
In honor of Giving Tuesday, BOK Financial donated a $100,000 match to Make-A-Wish Arizona.
Every donation made to the wish-granting nonprofit through Friday, Dec. 1, will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $100,000.
“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of BOK Financial," Fran Mallace, Make-A-Wish Arizona president and CEO, shared in a press release. "By doubling the impact of every donation, we can create even more magical moments for wish kids and their families."
The average cost of a wish is $10,000 and Make-A-Wish Arizona’s Giving Tuesday fundraising goal is $200,000 – enough to grant 20 wishes. There are currently more than 600 children in Arizona who are waiting for their wishes to be granted.
Make-A-Wish Arizona provides 100% of the cost of a wish and relies exclusively on donations to fund wishes. Many families who receive a wish are already going through financial hardship with medical care costs. Make-A-Wish Arizona wants to ensure that there are no obstacles for the family so the wish kid can enjoy their wish.
To have your gift matched and your impact doubled, visit the official Make-A-Wish Arizona Giving Tuesday donation page at arizona.wish.org/GivingTuesday until Dec. 1.
