The body of a man was found Saturday three days after a warehouse roof collapsed during a storm, authorities said.
Search and rescue teams found the victim shortly after 1 p.m. July 27 at Freeport Logistics near 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street, a spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department said.
The Phoenix Police Department has taken over the investigation, and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to confirm the victim’s identity.

Search and rescue teams found the victim shortly after 1 p.m. July 27 at Freeport Logistics near 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street, a spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department said.
The Phoenix Police Department has taken over the investigation, and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to confirm the victim’s identity.
“A little after one o’clock, our crews identified a victim,” Capt. Todd Keller said Saturday. “This is not the outcome we wanted.”
