Body of Tempe teen found in fire pit near Apache Junction

The body of an 18-year-old Tempe man was found in the remnants of a bonfire pit outside of Apache Junction, authorities said.

 

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday that the victim has been identified as Parker League, and that his death is considered “malicious.”

 

The MCSO homicide unit has been investigating since the victim’s body was discovered on June 12 near Lost Dutchman State Park, officials said.
