The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday morning that a body had been discovered north of Tempe Marketplace.
MCSO detectives are at the location, near the intersection of Rio Salado Parkway and McClintock Drive. An investigation is underway.
“There are suspicious circumstances surrounding the manner in which the body was found, and our detectives are processing the scene,” said a spokesperson for the department.
No other information is available at this time.
The Tempe Police Department said it is not involved in the investigation and deferred to MCSO for comment.
