Body found floating in Mesa golf course lake

Mesa police are investigating after a body was found Tuesday morning in a lake on the Dobson Ranch Golf Course.

A golf course worker said he thought he saw a body in the water and police were called about 5:10 a.m. Feb. 7, according to authorities.

Officers arrived, confirmed there was a body in the water, and Mesa Fire personnel “determined that this would be a recovery mission not a rescue,” police said in a release.

Early Tuesday morning, Mesa police said firefighters were working to get the body out of the lake and did not know if it was a man or woman or the person’s age.
