Bob Wingenroth likely to return to Surprise

Former city manager interested in old job

A familiar face appears poised to come back to lead the city of Surprise.

Bob Wingenroth, who was the city’s manager from 2014 to 2018, wants his old job back, and the Surprise City Council will vote on whether to rehire him at the Oct. 5 Council meeting.

Wingenroth would replace the soon-retiring Mike Frazier, who had replaced Wingenroth when Wingenroth resigned for personal reasons nearly three years ago.
