One woman has died and a man is in extremely critical condition after a boat accident at Lake Pleasant in north Peoria this weekend.
Michael and Shannon Hitchcock, 51, were traveling south on Lake Pleasant near south Barker Island in their 44-foot Outer Limits Off-shore high performance power boat, around 4 p.m. April 2.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office officials said the boat was on plane when it lost control, causing it to roll over several times ejecting both occupants. Michael Hitchcock was recovered by witnesses, however, his wife submerged and was not immediately found. Michael Hitchcock was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and is in extremely critical condition.
