The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approved a number of items on the consent agenda on Sept. 30 to provide funding for emergency shelters and groups involved with rapid rehousing services.
The first agreement involves an intergovernmental agreement with the Department of Economic Security for an amount of $1,445,832, of which $87,449.52 is for salaries and employee related expenses. Indirect cost recovery is estimated to be $20,987.88 and is fully recoverable.
The services provided under this agreement are not a mandated function but provide a benefit to the residents of Maricopa County by providing housing assistance or supportive services to individuals and families to prevent homelessness.
