BNSF rail hub plans go full steam ahead

BNSF Railway is moving forward with plans for its Logistics Park Phoenix project coming to the northwest Valley, but officials say they are open to working with local communities to address some concerns.

Lena Kent, BNSF Railway general director of public affairs, responded to the Surprise Independent’s July 28 request for comment about questions that include residents’ fears of increased traffic congestion, pollution and safety, and the status of an upcoming meeting before the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.
