Special to Independent Newsmedia
Donating blood in January can get residents a free ticket for the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
More blood transfusions are required in January than during any other month of the year, according to Vitalant. The Thunderbirds, the hosts of the WM Phoenix Open, are providing vouchers for free tickets to the Open, which runs Feb. 5–11 at the TPC Scottsdale, for those who donate blood with Vitalant between Jan. 1-14.
Also, donors who give blood by Jan. 5 will also receive Vitalant’s exclusive long-sleeved T-shirt and a $15 gift card in the donor store.
