Blair: New bridge will bring problems

I was not able to attend the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office meeting on crime and safety Nov 30, but I had a concern that may bring “crime” to Sun City West.

The new bridge over the Aqua Fria and widening of Williams Road to El Mirage Road is expected to take 5,000 cars per day off Bell Road (from the county website). When these drivers get to El Mirage Road many will turn right and get on Loop 303.

However, many will turn left and head to Beardsley Road and 135th Avenue to get to other areas around Surprise. This added traffic should be a great concern to all residents and crime issues that may follow.

Are there plans to handle this added traffic through Sun City West?
