Bird walks in the Sonoran Desert at Lost Dutchman State Park, 6109 N. Apache Trail in Apache Junction, are slated March 22 and April 12.
“Meet in the Cholla day use area to learn how to identify the birds all around you. Please wear closed-toed shoes; and don’t forget water, hat and binoculars. To increase chances of bird sightings, no dogs please,” according to a release
Program is free, but park entry fees still apply — $10 day use/vehicle. Event is weather permitting.
Reservations are required at azstateparks.com/reserve/Activities/Search.aspx to attend this fun birding event.
