Bingo license sought for Dolce Vita in Apache Junction

The Apache Junction City Council recently voted to recommend that the Arizona Department of Revenue approve a class A bingo license submitted by Richard Cantwell for Dolce Vita, 3301 S. Goldfield.

“Their application was for one night a week and we did do our development services, our zoning, our public safety inspections. All of them came back with a recommendation to approve the application,” City Clerk Jennifer Pena said at the council’s March 21 meeting. “At one time, Dolce Vita — when it was under different ownership — did have a bingo license, but when that was sold and became Dolce Vita they no longer have the license. They are renewable every year with the department of revenue.”

A class A bingo license is obtained for recreational and social purposes, and cannot exceed $75,000 per year in gross receipts, Pena said in a memo to the council.
