Billy’s Place is hosting its 8th annual Hike For Hope, a yearly hike in memory of your love one, starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 17 at Copper Hills Church, 27035 N. Black Rock Blvd., Peoria.
This hiking celebration will include therapy animals, music, raffles, activities, food, fitness and family. As always, Hike for Hope is family and fur-baby friendly. This year, organizers have taken extra precautions to make sure that the beautiful hike of Sunrise Mountain and all the activities are safe for everyone.
Billy’s Place offers free resources and support for kids and adults who have been faced with a loss. It is located at 21448 N. 75th Ave., Suite 5, in Glendale.
Those who can’t join may participate virtually.
Open hiking and registration goes from 8 to 10 a.m. All hikers will start at the registration table and then move through the activities and the self-guided hike with their group at their own pace to allow for social distancing. Plan on about an hour to complete the hike.
