The Property Owners and Residents Association expressed opposition to the billboards alongside Loop 303 in Surprise back in 2021.
David Hunter, PORA board vice-president, presented the resolution during the first meeting. There was a recent public meeting held by the Surprise Planning and Zoning Commission regarding the installation of the new billboards. The billboards are not located in Sun City West, rather just north of Loop 303 and east of 145th Avenue.
After hearing about the meeting, PORA officials once again voted in favor of the same resolution to speak on behalf of residents and oppose the billboard installation.
