Bill would create summer gas tax ‘holiday’ in hottest months

Arizona lawmakers have tried various means to reduce the impact of the cost of gasoline through the years.

One proposal this year to mitigate the burden somewhat comes from a Chandler representative.

Rep. Julie Willoughby, R-Chandler, has introduced House Bill 2400. That would suspend the state’s gas tax from May 1 to Sept. 30.
