Bill could inject $800M into resources for homeless

Arizona senators fighting for bill in Congress

A bill is working its way through Congress that would create an $800 million fund to increase resources and housing for Arizona children and families experiencing homelessness.

Arizona Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly reintroduced the Emergency Family Stabilization Act, which could help local child, youth, and family-serving agencies to provide immediate support to these families and individuals.

The bill has been referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and officials in support of the bill are working to build a list of bipartisan cosponsors.
