Bien-Willner: Honored to have support of Paradise Valley voters

Posted

Thank you, Paradise Valley! I am humbled by the overwhelming support shown by Paradise Valley residents for my re-election, and I am so honored to have earned your trust to continue serving as your mayor.

This mayoral election result was historic, with a resounding victory across every voting precinct in our town. Thanks to your support, I will continue to defend our incredible quality of life while upholding our town’s great traditions, including the excellent past examples of respectful, strong, ethical, and effective servant leadership.

I remain totally committed to keeping our town stable, safe, and on top. This mandate from Paradise Valley citizens is underscored by the highly successful voter approval of the town’s updated General Plan, all of which shows we are heading in the right direction by preserving our unique residential character and beautiful natural environment, maintaining excellent public safety and financial discipline, and focusing on limited, high-quality, open and transparent government.

This election has also reaffirmed that our citizens do not believe that the sky is falling in Paradise Valley, and they do not want to experience false alarms, grandstanding, or divisive and deceptive messaging.

Our town elections are over, and the outcome is clear. Everyone on the Town Council must now focus on working productively together in the established order for the good of our community. I genuinely appreciate your ongoing confidence in me to lead the town team to pursue a winning agenda that benefits our community, not special interests or personal political longings.

I heartily congratulate everyone who was chosen in this election to sit on the council in 2023. I look forward to working with Vice Mayor Thomasson, Council member Andeen and Council member-elect Labelle in 2023, joined by continuing Council members Moore, Pace, and Stanton. And I’m confident of continued success for the rest of 2022 with the current council.

Once again, thank you. It is a true honor and privilege to serve as your mayor!
