Bicycle safety and traffic were top concerns for residents polled during the transportation master plan update to the city council Monday.
During the city council work session, city transportation manager Chris Bridges and Michael LaBianca from HDR Engineering outlined survey results on various transportation issues. The two also created action plans to attempt to alleviate these concerns.
Findings indicated bicycle safety was a key concern. According to a bicycle safety poll, most people said bicyclists should have their own off-street facility or trail to use or have the sidewalk afforded to them.
