7 vie for 3 seats

Recreation Centers of Sun City members will have plenty to choose from when electing members to the corporation board.

The RCSC board ballot has seven candidates vying for three expiring positions on the board. Those whose terms are ending are Mike Ege, the current vice president, Darla Akins and Steve Collins. Akins and Collins filed to seek re-election. Joining them on the ballot are John Fast, James Rough, John Sahlberg, Jean Totten and Jerry Walczak. Bill Pearson had filed and qualified, but withdrew from the race.

The top three candidates with the most votes will serve 3-year terms and candidates must receive a minimum of 100 votes in order to win a seat on the board, according to Joelyn Higgins, RCSC communications and marketing coordinator.
