Bettylee Mayberry Andrews

Bettylee Mayberry Andrews, of Sun City, joined her husband David, parents William Lloyd and Vera Belle Mayberry, sons Brian and Timmy, and sister Beverly Miller with the Lord on December 13, 2022. She was born in Wyandotte, Michigan at 10:15a.m. on March 16, 1933 and faithfully lived out her Baptism in Christ since October 22, 1939 and was confirmed September 23, 1962. Shortly after becoming a single mother of four children, Betty began working at the Scottsdale Unified School District where she met the love of her life David, who was a single father of two children. Betty and David wed on November 10, 1966. Betty passionately loved, protected and nurtured their six children and welcomed many others who became extended family members of their home. She achieved her Arizona High School Certificate of Equivalency in 1974 then completed her Nursing Aid Qualifications at Scottsdale Community College in 1976 and became a Registered Nurse licensed by the Arizona State Board of Nursing in 1977. Betty took a brief detour from nursing and obtained her Real Estate Sales License in 1988. In 1992 Betty was promoted from Physician’s Assistant (PA) to PA/Utilization Review (UR) Supervisor for St. Luke’s Advantage Health Plan and was a 1993 Nurse of the Year nominee. After retiring in 2003, Betty loved traveling, spending time with her husband and being a constant loving advocate, trusted advisor, source of strength and positive influence to her growing family, friends and neighbors and every other person she encountered. Betty is dearly missed and survived by her brother Bill, sons Chuck and Dan, daughters Debbie and Barbara, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and every other person’s life she loved and nurtured.
