Bette S. Arliskas, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Banner Hospital in Sun City West, AZ.From her birth, July 29, 1922, in Chicago, IL, to her death she nourished people around her with her unconditional love & vivacious personality.Bette always enjoyed sports and was very athletic her entire life, winning Ice Skating competitions as a young girl, playing softball and volleyball at nearby Park Team Programs. She began training in dancing and soon made a career out of her ultimate passion working at the famed Chez Paree Club as a Chez Paree Adorable main dancer alongside many famous actresses and actors of the time. Then married to William Arliskas, they had a long and happy marriage of 52 years with a family of four children and many grandchildren. Bette & Bill retired to Phoenix, AZ, in 1980 finally settling into the community of Sun City West. Bette continued on with many activities of which one was her joy of dancing. Bette became the President of the Rhythm Tappers & performed in many shows at the Sun Dome & beyond. She loved it! Always caring and giving, she continued to give back to her community by volunteering at Penny Wise Thrift Shop, which donated greatly to the Girl's Ranch in Northern Arizona, and finally, countless hours working the Thrift Store of the Sun City West Banner Hospital. Everyone loved Bette!Left to honor Bette and remember her always are Bette's four children: William Arliskas (wife, Jan), Andrew Arliskas (wife, Carole), Thomas Arliskas (wife, Terry), Robert Arliskas and Teresa Arliskas Flood. Bette is also survived by her youngest brother, Stanley Kabat, & her grandchildren: Matt Arliskas, Joseph Arliskas, Mary Arliskas Kocsis, Leslie Arliskas, Adam Arliskas and Drew Arliskas. A Memorial will be held later on in the year for family and friends.
