Best-kept secret in Florence school district

San Tan Foothills High School in San Tan Valley can boast about having one of the top robotics teams in the state.

But getting there took a lot of effort.

Christel Bruno, a secondary mathematics curriculum and technology integration specialist, and Matt Perales, a Florence Unified School District instructional coach, joined forces to create and coach the FIRST Tech Challenge, or FTC, team out of San Tan Foothills: Foothills Cat-3.
