Bernice DeMarte

SUN CITY - Jeannie passed away peacefully on September 28, 2013 at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, Arizona. Jeannie was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin along with her five sisters. She met and married Charles DeMarte, moved to Lake Bluff, Illinois where she raised her two boys, Charles Jr. (Chuck) and Greg and worked for Avon for over 30 years. She retired and moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1994. Shortly after moving to Sun City she volunteered at the Olive Branch Senior Center in Sun City and for the past several years at St. Clement of Rome Church in Sun City. Jeannie was a fun-loving, caring and kind person who loved her home life, animals, and her family. Jeannie remained very close with her ex-husband, Charlie but sadly, she was predeceased by both of her two boys, and her youngest sister, Carol. She is survived by her four remaining sisters, Audrey, Barbara (her twin), Marcella and Diane; her granddaughter, Ashley; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends. Jeannie was one of a kind and will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at St. Clement of Rome Church in Sun City, Arizona. She will be laid to rest with her two sons in Wisconsin.
