The desert area behind Beardsley Recreation Center two years ago was made up of an old greenhouse and water retention area.
Now, a new greenhouse and newly designed Botanical Garden by the Desert Garden Club is erect with various plants. There is one original cactus salvaged from the plans and two trees that were part of the design work two years back.
The new greenhouse replaced the old one which was more than 40 years old. The dedication of the greenhouse was celebrated last year. And this year the Sun City West Desert Club completed the adjacent Botanical Garden and are ready to dedicate the space.
