Showtune Productions will host adult auditions for the cast of its 2024 production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast Live in Concert” at Chandler Center for the Arts.
Auditions will take place Saturday, Aug. 19.
In anticipation of the auditions, Showtune Production’s Producer/Musical Director JR McAlexander and Artistic Director M. Seth Reines will host a free pre-audition workshop for actors 16 and older at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11 at Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave.
The workshop will offer audition tips to help actors prepare for the August auditions. Those attending the workshop should prepare 32 bars of a song from Disney or Broadway, bring music in their key and a headshot and resume.

Cast members must be over 16 and available for rehearsal Jan. 2-7 and March 11-21, 2024 with performances at the Chandler Center for the Arts on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Showtune Productions supports inclusive, non-traditional casting and all roles will be paid. Auditions for the “Chip?” character will be announced at a later date.
“Beauty and the Beast” will feature a live on-stage orchestra and chorus, choreography, theatrical costumes and lighting, and animated scenic projections.
