Prickly pear cactus fruits are a staple of Arizona food for humans and animals alike. With ripe harvesting season upon us, here’s the coolest and most refreshing way to enjoy the desert’s gift.

Next year Revolu – named for a popular street, La Avenida Revolución, in Tijuana – will celebrate its 10th anniversary at 15703 N. 83rd Ave., Suite 110, in the P83 Entertainment District. The Taqueria + Bar, like any Arizona home for food and drinks worth its salt(ed margarita rims), makes its own dry tahini mix on site with a spicy but tangy combination of sugar, chili powder, salt, and red pepper flakes, that lines each prickly pear glass rim.
