Bauders, Cancio, Garcia elected to AJUSD school board

Incumbent Cami Garcia and newcomers Bobby Bauders and Gilbert “Gil” K. Cancio were elected to the Apache Junction Unified School District Governing Board, according to unofficial results from the Pinal County Elections Department.

There were three open board positions at the Nov. 3 election. Board members are not paid to govern the more than 215-square-mile school district serving Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Peralta Trail, Queen Valley and unincorporated Pinal County land in between.

“I would like to take the time to thank my family, friends, community and loyal supporters for their unending love and support,” said Mrs. Garcia, 47, owner/broker of Western Lifestyle Realty in Apache Junction.
