Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. is going live with its first in-person auction since January, but without the throngs of onlookers that normally dominate its regular Scottsdale shows to meet capacity limitations amid coronavirus protections.
Last week, the Scottsdale City Council briefly discussed Barrett-Jackson’s plans for a modified auto auction — an event that has garnered city approval to abide by safety and health precautions to include wearing face masks and limiting capacity.
Barrett-Jackson’s special fall event — a three-day auction held Oct. 22-24 in lieu of the company’s previously scheduled Las Vegas and Palm Springs events — is expected to feature 300 to 400 consigners and approximately 1,500 bidders.
