Banner Health has named Staci Dickerson as the organization’s new chief financial officer and executive vice president starting July 17.
Dickerson was selected following a national search, a press release stated. With more than 25 years of experience in health care, Dickerson joins Banner Health from Sharp HealthCare in San Diego.
In her time there, Dickerson served in a variety of system roles including director of managed care finance, vice president of finance, and most recently as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer.
“Staci will be a great addition to our executive team and will serve in a very critical role as we continue to grow our business and find ways to reduce the cost of health care,” Banner CEO Peter Fine said in the release.
Dickerson is involved in the health care industry, participating in the California Hospital Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association and Health Management Academy, according to the release. She not only served as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Healthcare Expert Panel but is also a former member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s National Principles and Practices Board and the San Diego/Imperial Chapter Board.
In addition to 30 acute-care hospitals, Banner Health operates an academic medicine division, Banner–University Medicine, and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Banner’s services includes a health insurance division, employed physician groups, outpatient surgery centers, urgent care locations, home care and hospice services, retail pharmacies, stand-alone imaging centers, physical therapy and rehabilitation, behavioral health services, a research division and a nursing registry.
Headquartered in Arizona, Banner Health also has locations in California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada and Wyoming.
