Banner Health hospital in north Scottsdale still on the bubble

The question of whether health care provider Banner Health can build a 135-bed hospital with a helipad near the intersection of N. Hayden Road and the Loop 101 will have to wait another day.

The Scottsdale Planning Commission took up the issue in a marathon meeting Jan. 14, but when it looked like the commissioners had more questions than answers, Susan Demmit, a land use attorney representing Banner Health asked for a continuance.

The commission then voted 7-0 to grant that continuance to an unspecified date.
