Summer is getting close and that means a crowded and diverse lineup of musicians coming to town on tour.
Speaking of concert tickets, this past April Live Nation Entertainment and its Ticketmaster subsidiary failed to persuade a federal judge to throw out an antitrust class action filed by 29 states, including Arizona. Consumers claim they pay excessive prices for concert tickets because of the companies’ illegal monopoly on ticket sales.
That means that the lawsuit will proceed, at least for now. The case of the U.S. Justice Department seeking to break up Live Nation and Ticketmaster is still scheduled to go to trial in early 2026, according to Reuters.
